BULLA HILL RAILWAY     -           HIRING INFORMATION

 

General notes and application for hire form.

 

The current facilities available include a picnic area with 3 covered picnic shelters plus 6 picnic tables. Hot water can be provided via an Urn.  A small $2 coin operated electric BBQ is available in the centre shelter.  Public toilets are in the station complex. Train rides are included in the hire charge.  Car parking is adjacent to the station with access to the picnic area via a bridge over tracks. A children’s play area is adjacent to the station. (Note: The kiosk is not available for hires.)

 

Please arrange your hire times to fall between the hours of 11am and 4pm. If you have any special requirements please ask, we will try to help if we can.

 

Hires are generally available through the year on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays each month, January to October, and each Wednesday and Saturday November to December.  For other days please ask.

(Note: The facilities are NOT available for hire on our public run days, the 1st and 3rd Sunday each month.)

 

Hire charges.

 

1. Exclusive hires of 4 hours duration for large groups.                                                       Cost $700

            Club trains running as required to cater for size of group

 

2. Exclusive hires of 3 hours duration for groups over 50 to 100 persons                              Cost $500

            2 Club trains provided for groups this size

 

3. Exclusive hires of 3 hours duration for groups up to 50 persons                          Cost $350

            1 Club train provided for groups this size.

Note: Diesel locomotive trains normally are provided and have 3 to 4 carriages depending on load requirements

If jumping castles or other electrical equipment requiring extension leads are used

they must  have current safety tags  attached to them                                                           Fee $10

For Hires approaching Xmas times, a Club Santa may be requested for a small fee              Fee $30

 (provided that Santa is available for that time)                                                                

 

Conditions of Hire

 

  1. A holding deposit of $100 is required payable to Tullamarine Live Steam Society on forwarding of the hire application.
  2. The deposit is non-refundable if hire cancelled within 10 days of the hire date
  3. Payment of the balance in full at the commencement of hire.
  4. All care will be taken in running our facilities, however no responsibility will be taken for personal injury, loss or damage to vehicle or property.
  5. Persons in bare feet, wearing thongs, open sandals or scuffs which will not be retained on the foot are not permitted to ride on the trains
  6. No smoking, eating or drinking is permitted while riding on the trains
  7. No person is to ride on the railway if they are ill, affected by medication, or is under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
  8. If BBQ is operated please clean after use.
  9. Please vacate premises promptly when your hire period has elapsed leaving the area clean and tidy (waste bins are provided for rubbish and recyclables).

To hire our facilities please fill in the attached for hire form and return to the address below. For bookings availability and any further information please contact Robert on 0437177131 before returning Application for Hire form. Please note that any provisional booking made will be held for 10 days only.  This must be confirmed by return of application form within this time.  On receipt of the Application for Hire form official confirmation will be sent to you with request for deposit if not already paid.
