TLSS
MEMBERSHIP
TLSS members come from all walks of life and have varied interests and skill levels.
Membership is open to people over 14 years of age, and the joining fee and annual subscription rates are very reasonable, with a reduced rate for family membership.
Members have access to the grounds at all times, although Saturdays are the most usual work or play days. A group of semi or fully retired people gather each Wednesday, while another group meet on Monday nights.
Public running is held on the first and third Sunday of the month, and training can be provided for members wishing to become drivers, guards or station staff.
Club Meeting nights are held on the first Friday of each month (except January) at 8.00pm and the club’s newsletter “Soot and Smoke” keeps everyone informed and up to date.
TLSS is affiliated with the AALS (Australian Association of Live Steamers) and as such are one of about 60 other clubs Australia wide. Members are therefore able to take part in many inter club events - the Annual Convention being the favourite.
New members are always welcome.
