Sneakers, lace up shoes or boots are ideal. Bare feet or thongs are not permitted.
You can ride on our 7 ¼” gauge steam or diesel locomotives, and, although able to carry fewer passengers, the smaller 5” or 3 ½ gauge track and a variety of members
private locomotives are often also available as a special treat.
Note: steam trains operate subject to fire restrictions
The large gauge track is 1400 metres long, a scenic ride taking 12 – 15 minutes, travelling through cuttings and over bridges with a view of Mt Macedon in the background.
The smaller gauge track is 620 metres long and equally attractive.
We have an enclosed private picnic area complete with coin in the slot barbecue and there are toilet facilities and a kiosk at the station. There is also a great children’s
playground right outside our gates including more picnic tables in the public parkland area.
Entry is free.
Due to the substancial increases of our Insurance we regret to inform all our patrons
that we have to increase the cost of rides to $3.00 to take effect from 3rd January 2010
